Issues

As I travel from one end of Delaware to the other, I hear many important issues facing our citizens. Issues such as Washington's questionable ways of spending our tax dollars. The number of destroyed businesses and job losses absolutely shock me. These times hold uncertainty for Delaware as well as the entire nation. With no regard for our hardworking families and businesses, the Federal Government ignores our voices, and it continues on a destructive path to deepen our national debt.

The great citizens of our state are clearly unhappy with the way Washington is handling important issues concerning the economy, taxes, health care, and energy independence. I am running because I believe that Delaware needs a representative who will work for the people in order to turn things around in Washington.

Please take a moment to read my positions on major issues. The way business is being run in Washington needs to change. Come join me in this fight! Let's stand together to make a difference.

The Economy

We need to develop a strong economic environment in order to help small businesses grow. This will, in turn, create jobs and new opportunities for our fellow Delawareans. I believe we need to cut taxes on small businesses, and this will open up more jobs for prospective employees. As it stands now, the Federal Government has an extremely oppressive way of regulating taxes, restricting business startups, and hindering innovation along with prosperity.

We need to help businesses instead of penalizing them. I will fight to burn every regulation that restricts and kills entrepreneurs and small businesses from succeeding. I will also support Delaware's infrastructures. Our highways, bridges, sewer systems, and transportations need major funding. The support will create and bring new jobs to our amazing residents. I also believe that our children's education is the key to our economic future; therefore, we need to help our children succeed in this competitive world we live in by making sure they have the best educational programs.

 Fiscal Responsibility

I, Rose Izzo, promise to be your voice for fiscal responsibility, I will fight to cut taxes, I will slash the size of government, and I will burn every regulation that kills free enterprise. I am deeply concerned about how the White House and Congress have the potential to impose new hidden taxes that will effect our hardworking families and businesses. We cannot bear to make our economy any worse. I will vote "No" on any form that aims to impose raised taxes on our middle class.

I, like most Americans, sit at the kitchen table and manage my family's budget. I see, first hand, how difficult it is to make ends meet and how far I can stretch my paycheck. I feel it is unconceivable how the government is pushing us to pay more with what little money we have. To further push the issue, they also want to impose unruly taxes on our beloved middle class. Congress needs to stop its abusive power struggle and put an end to its outrageously wasteful spending. I, with the utmost fiscal responsibility, am going to march towards Washington and hold the bureaucrats accountable for all of their wrongdoing. I will budget the house the way I budget my own house.

Healthcare

I signed the "Repeal It" U.S. Representative Candidate Pledge for The Club for Growth. In this, I stated that I would sponsor and support legislation in order to repeal any federal healthcare takeover passed in 2010, and I would replace it with real reform that actually benefits us by lowering healthcare costs without growing the government.

I believe that we can lower the cost for healthcare by letting insurance companies compete across state lines. We need real TORT reform. We need portability: if people have health insurance with a company, and they change jobs, they should be allowed to take their coverage with themselves.

National Security

We can't afford to be timid and tip-toe around peoples' feelings when it come to our National Defense. We have to identify and stop the enemy at home and abroad.

We need to keep a strong military presence in the world and not be apologetic.

"Peace Through Strength"

Energy Independence

We have to end our dependence on foreign oil. We can become Energy Independent by using more of our own resources.

  • Drill Here, Drill Now!! OPEC is sucking the life out of us.
  • Natural Gas
  • Wind
  • Clean Coal
  • Biofuels

Guns

I support the Second Amendment. I believe that citizens have the right to keep and bear arms as a basic Constitutional Liberty.
